The True Shift Max DLC Steel Runners are up to 20% stronger and reduce friction by up to 40% as compared to uncoated stainless steel. DLC runners are the perfect choice for the player who is seeking extended blade longevity and elite-level performance.

True also designed the Shift Max DLC Runner with a dual profile, meaning they have a 9' radius on the front and a 10' radius on the back. This radius combination helps to maximize blade contact with the ice in different skating situations, thus improving acceleration, stride power, balance in the corners, and overall maneuverability.

What separates these runners from traditional stainless or even polished steel is the diamond-like carbon coating finish. DLC increases surface strength to guard against nicks, chips, and scratches while also improving edge retention so players can skate longer in-between sharpenings. This special coating also offers greater resistance to corrosion and improves glide, which means players use less energy to skate longer and faster.
